Thank you for your interest in volunteering at UCHealth - Highlands Ranch Hospital and the Inverness Ambulatory Surgery Center! We appreciate your willingness to donate your time and talents to support our patients, staff, and visitors. We hope your experience here is both meaningful and rewarding.

 

This application is appropriate for volunteers aged 16-18 who are currently in high school.

 

**Please note: Due to the high volume of applications, we currently have more applicants than available positions. Because we are committed to matching each volunteer with a role that best suits their skills and interests, not all applicants will be accepted .**    

 

Qualifications to apply:

To be considered for the Teen Volunteer Program, applicants must:

  • Applicants must be 16 years of age or older
  • Commit to volunteering for at least 6 months, completing two or more shifts per month or a minimum of 65 hours
  • Be available to volunteer during office hours. Office hours are 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday. Junior volunteers may not volunteer on evenings or weekends.
  • Complete all onboarding steps within 2 months of applying

 

By submitting an application, you confirm that you meet these minimum requirements. Once we receive your application, you will receive an email with details about the next steps. 

 

Onboarding Process

Step One: Complete the online application below. 

 

Step Two: Download the Junior Volunteer Parent/Guardian Consent Form, sign where applicable, and have your parent/guardian sign. Once complete, please upload this to your profile.

Step Three: Email the link to the reference form to your two chosen references.

Step Four: Review the UCHealth Volunteer Handbook and complete volunteer paperwork through our online portal.

Step Five: Attend a virtual interview.

Step Six: Complete a Health Screening.

All volunteers are required to have the following vaccines: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B , Tdap, Influenza each flu season, and a negative TB test within the last year. If you do not have your immunization records or are missing immunizations, UCHealth will provide titer tests and assist you in fulfilling the required immunizations. 

Step Seven:Complete UCHealth orientation training modules (virtual).

Step Eight: Sign-up and attend a Volunteer Orientation, receive your Volunteer Badge & Uniform Shirt or Vest. 

Step Nine: Start Volunteering!

All adult applicants being considered for volunteering are required to complete an Authorization and Release for a Criminal Background Investigation and a Drug Screening.

 

If you have been convicted of a Misdemeanor or Felony, you are required to disclose this to the Volunteer Services Office with an explanation of charges.

 

I certify the facts documented on this application are true and correct without consequential omission. I understand that an offer of volunteer work may be rescinded either before or after my date of assignment pending results received from my background investigation and/or drug screening.

 

I understand any volunteer assignment with UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital is voluntarily entered into and does not constitute a contract of employment, expressed or implied. Further, I understand that my volunteer placement could be terminated at any time

 

Submitting an application through the website constitutes your electronic signature. Any record containing an electronic signature shall be deemed for all purposes to have been 'signed', and will constitute an 'original' when printed from electronic records established and maintained by UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital in the normal course of business. Upon UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital's request, User agrees to sign or place User's signature on any paper original of any electronic record that UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital provides to user containing user's purported electronic signature.
