Thank you for your interest in shadowing or volunteering at the University of Colorado Hospital and metro Denver clinics. UCHealth is taking proactive measures to protect its patients, visitors, and healthcare workers by expanding visitor restrictions and policies at its acute care facilities and ambulatory clinics. While we understand that visitor restrictions are inconvenient, they provide an additional layer of protection for everyone. At this time, all shadowing/observation programs are suspended. Volunteering opportunities are available on a limited basis and are focused on non-clinical environments. We do not currently have a date for when restrictions will be lifted.
We apologize for any inconvenience you may have. Please know we have your welfare as well as the welfare of others at the forefront of our patient safety plans. This website will be updated when UCHealth allows shadowing/observing or volunteering to reopen.
Thank you for deciding to volunteer with us. You are joining a dedicated team that provides the highest quality health care in the #1 Hospital in Colorado. Through the generous gift of your time, skills and personal interests, you supplement the work of staff and providers in offering many special services that are important to our patients, families, visitors and the hospital staff. Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, care for your community and meet new people and you will soon see, the greatest reward for volunteering is that special feeling that comes when you give of yourself for the betterment of others. We welcome you as a member of our medical center family and thank you for choosing UCHealth as your place to volunteer and share your time.
