All Volunteer Services staff members have access to these communication channels, so using one of these options is the best way to make sure your message reaches someone on our team.
We know that volunteering can sometimes come with questions, changes, or situation you're not sure how to navigate. Please reach out - we're happy to help!
Q. I can't make my shift. What do I do?
A. We understand that things come up. The most important this is to communicate as soon as you know you won't be able to make your shift. The earlier you let us know, the more time we have to make other arrangements.
If you are a Wayfinder or Green Room Host, please contact the Volunteer Services office.
For all other volunteer roles, please contact both the Volunteer Services office and your unit supervisor. Your current unit supervisor is the person listed on your shift in the calendar above.
A helpful tip: The supervisor listed on your current shift may be different from the supervisor listed on your Position Description. Please use the supervisor listed on your calendar shift.
The easiest option is to send one email with both the Volunteer Services office and your supervisor included. That way, everyone has the same information.
Q. What do I do with the training checklist?
A. Once you've completed your checklist, please turn it into the Volunteer Services office.
Your training checklist helps make sure you feel comfortable, confident, and prepared in your volunteer role.
You'll receive a new training checklist whenever you begin a new volunteer role. Before moving into a new role, we ask that you complete and turn in the checklist for your current role.
For Wayfinders, the checklist is usually ready to turn in after about three shifts. Other roles may take a few additional shifts to complete, depending on the training involved.
