Our nationally recognized Summer Teen Volunteer Program is an immersive volunteer and learning experience beginning June 10th completing August 2nd. Summer Teen Volunteers are expected to complete at least 48 hours of volunteer service and complete at least 4 education sessions at the number one hospital in Colorado.

Rising high school Juniors and Seniors with at least a 3.4 GPA may apply beginning in February when the application becomes available and no later than April 5th. The application includes an essay and reference forms from a high school counselor and another adult who knows the applicant well. Applicants are notified in late April. Submission of an application does not guarantee participation in this exciting, competitive program.

To help you get started we are publishing this year's essay question in advance so you can begin planning and writing.  The essay question and references are major components of how we evaluate applications as we get so much interest from great students.  Taking time to carefully craft your essay and following directions can improve your chances of being accepted for the program.  Your essay should be between 500-600 words.
